1. When you arrive at our hospital, please remain in your car or wait safely outside our hospital
2. Please phone our receptionists on 0294364884 to let them know that you have arrived
3. When we are ready to see your pet(s), we will call you on your mobile and offer further instructions to proceed to our foyer where one of our lovely staff members will be able to take your pet(s) from you in a safe manner. Please return to your car to wait (or outside) at this point
4. Once we have examined your pet(s), we will be able to conduct a phone consultation with you
5. We will be able to return your pet(s) to you in a similar manner
6. Please note, at this stage we are taking payment for our services by phone

We are excited to announce that SERV has moved to a new location! Our service along with the whole of the North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre have moved to a bigger and better hospital. Our new address is 57-63 Herbert St, Artarmon NSW 2064


In 2009, Dr Vella became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Exotic Companion Mammals, the first Australian vet to achieve these credentials. This Diplomate accreditation focuses on the veterinary care of mammals such as rabbits, ferrets and rodents.

Based in Sydney at North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre SERV offers:
• General health consultations
• Preventative health (desexing, vaccinations)
• Full diagnostics
• Medical and surgical care.

Consultations are by appointment and cover all aspects of the pet's preventative health, husbandry and diet. Whether you have a pet in need or are a veterinarian wishing to refer a case to us, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our exotics service operates for appointments and queries 8am to 6pm weekdays and 8am to 5pm Saturdays. We are on-call for emergencies through the North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre outside of these hours. This hospital is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre is a 24hour vet-staffed hospital with after-hours emergency, critical care services, and resident veterinary specialists in many disciplines.
